How to Actually Help During Wedding Planning

Two-Minute Drill by Joe Karsonovich

Before we get into it -- reply to this email and tell me one thing you're supposed to be handling for the wedding right now. It doesn't matter how big or small. I read every reply and I'll send something useful back.

She's been carrying most of this. You know it. She probably hasn't said it out loud but you both know it.

Here's the thing -- you don't have to take over the whole wedding. You just have to own your lanes completely so she never has to think about them.

Here are three you can take off her plate starting today.

Own the rehearsal dinner
This one is traditionally the groom's family's responsibility anyway. Venue, food, guest list, logistics. If you haven't started on this yet, start today. She should not have to think about this once. Pick a spot, confirm headcount, handle it. Done.
Be the groomsmen's point of contact
Every text, every question, every "what time do I need to be there" -- that comes to you, not her. Set up a group chat if you haven't already. Send them the details before they ask. The goal is zero groomsmen questions reaching your fiancée between now and the wedding day.
Pick one vendor and own it completely
Doesn't matter which one. The DJ, the officiant, the transportation. Find three options, do the research, present her with a recommendation. Not "what do you think about these" -- a recommendation. "I think we should go with this one, here's why." She'll either agree or redirect you, but either way you showed up.

None of this is complicated. It's just showing up before she has to ask.
